WOMEN IN LOVE
The story follows and contrasts the romantic relationships of Rupert Birkin and Ursula Brangwen with Gudrun, Ursula's artistic sister, and Gerald Crich, an overbearing industrialist. The emotional relationships thus established are given further depth and tension by an intense psychological and physical attraction between Gerald and Rupert.
